Built a relationship with Saeteomin (North Korean defectors) and formed a group to help them adapt to South Korea; as an inaugurator and leader of the group, designed regular academic seminars and visited numerous sites to promote awareness for the history and culture of South Korea; publicized the group`s activities and her vision for the unified Korea during a TV interview; traveled to Tumen river with the help from related institutions and organizations and visited bordering areas of China and North Korea; as the leader of the group, always paid attention to others` opinion and became a role model for others

Showed consistent interest in the unification issue, leading to specific activities; helped Saeteomin (North Korean defectors) experience the Korean culture and discussed the unification issues with them; led in-group meetings to promote members` awareness for the unification issue and to discuss ways to publicize the group`s activities; shared opinions with others on the issue through meetings with outside organizations; the group`s activities were reported several times by the press (Joongang Ilbo, the third largest newspaper in Korea, mentioned 학교명 Nest of Hope as one of the leading groups on the matter); was awarded for active involvement several times (in-school volunteering award, Band of Sharing Hope award, Gyeonggi Governor`s award in National Debate Contest, etc.)
