Having completed my post-doctorate at ÇÁ·Î±×·¥¸í of the Department of Çаú¸í, California Institute of Technology µî from 19 to 19 (ÇÐÀ§ À̼ö ±â°£), I highly value and regard the prestigious academic traditions of Cal Tech µî. Now in Korea, I work closely with students as a professor and the dean of the College of Natural Sciences, ´ëÇб³¸í University.
Last year, ±³¼ö´Ô¼ºÇÔ, staff in ½ÇÇè½Ç¸í Laboratory in ´ëÇб³¸í University, introduced Áö¿øÀÚÀ̸§ to me. He said that Áö¿øÀÚÀ̸§ was a student who was interested in physical sciences and requested me to give him a chance to work in a laboratory. When Áö¿øÀÚÀ̸§ said that he was most interested in nano chemistry, I gave him an opportunity to work as an intern in ´ëÇб³¸í University’s ½ÇÇè½Ç¸í Laboratory. Though he was a high school student, he worked hard and contributed to some parts of the research that are related to mathematics. As I observed and talked with him, I realized that Áö¿øÀÚÀ̸§ had potential to excel as a scientist in the future...
