Research (optional)
Caltech applicants demonstrate their passion for math, science or engineering in a variety of ways. Prior research experience is not required to gain undergraduate admission to Caltech. However, if you have written a research paper on a math, science or engineering project, you are encouraged to submit a copy of your work for consideration.
