I was discouraged (as you mentioned in your letter) when I was informed that U of C had decided to defer my application. As everyone says, however, "Where there is a will, there is a way," and from my perspective, this yet another opportunity granted to me rather than an opportunity missed. As you very well know, U of C was and still is one of my most desired choices of colleges, and my heart would not cease to tell me that U of C is where I want to be and where I belong―an aspiration so strong I have yet to have a matching experience for. This extraordinary aspiration has driven me to take the initiative to implore you to reconsider my application from a different perspective and to relate to you that "I want to be a member of the U of C community..."
